Welcome to Evergreen Valley High School

New students, you are about to experience learning and growth in a safe and exciting academic and social environment.  Returning students, you have a key role to play in welcoming those who are new to the school. You also have the opportunity to experience a new curriculum, based on Common Core State Standards, that emphasizes understanding how to solve math problems over rote memorization and other subjects that will engage and encourage you to become independent, thinking citizens of a new connected and rapidly changing world.

Evergreen Valley High School (EVHS) cherishes the dedication of its parent/guardian volunteers and all adult encouragement of students' academic, social and extracurricular activities.  Their continued support of the students, staff and programs is what separates EVHS from all other schools.

Key Programs and Magnets

Leadership class is a G approved elective that offers students the opportunity to take roles on campus that place them in adult environments. These students organize all extra-curricular school activities and events. College Preparation:  EVHS offers 19 AP Courses for college credit, a mid level college program and 30 courses at the Silicon Valley Career and Technical Education Center.
Robotics: The EVHS Robotics club offers students the opportunity to apply their knowledge. The club builds a robot each year and competes against other high schools in various challenges. Athletics: Sports include football, track, volleyball, water polo, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, soccer, badminton, tennis, cross country and golf. EVHS has won more than 50 Division Titles and 10 CCS Championships.

Computer Science Academy is an interdisciplinary approach to learning in which a cohort of students take a sequence of Career Technical Education courses that integrate academic classes with the Information and Communication Technologies industry. This pathway provides experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom that prepare for careers related to computer science that involve the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and management of systems such as: Computer Programmer, Software Developer/Applications, Information Security Analyst, Web Developer and E-Business/E-Commerce Specialist.

Activities: EVHS is proud of it extra curricular activities including Band, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Guitar, Choir, Drama, Visual Arts, Speech & Debate and over 100 clubs that specialize in student and community involvement.
